Held annually in the village of Camrose, Alberta, the Big Valley Jamboree is a four day festival of country music. This year, the event will be held from July 30 to August 2, 2009.
A premier selection of the industry's leading artists, including Kick-Off Party on Thursday July 30th; Jetty Road, Kentucky Headhunters and Joe Diffie play their best hits.
Performers on the Mainstage Friday, July 31st include: Tracy Millar, Gord Bamford, Glen Campbell, Johnny Reid and Josh Turner.
Saturdays lineup includes; Willie Mack, Jessie Farrell, Billy Currington, Kevin Costner & Modern West, and Garry Allan.
The Sunday night lineup includes Samantha King, William & Ree, Doc Walker, Tracy Lawrence, and Tim McGraw.
Other activities held during the event include a family stage, songwriter's workshop, casino, gospel jamboree, kick-off party, marketplace tradeshow and parade.
Onsite camping is available for motorhomes, RVs and tents. For RV'ers, there is also fresh water, and septic services.
The Jamboree Marketplace is a 'beehive of activity' and commerce as exhibiting companies show their wares (western and otherwise) to the thousands of visitors who come to the show every day. More than 120 vendors compete for the best locations every year, and are rewarded by the enthusistic response of some of Canada's biggest shoppers. |
